(Palembang, South Sumatra, 1904 - The Hague, 1976)

 

Born in Palembang, South Sumatra, 1904. He was a self-taught painter whose works were mostly Indonesia lanscape. He also produced paintings of Asian panorama. He was a painter, water colorist, and draughtsman in the style reminiscent of the late of GP.Adolfs. He once lived in Jakarta for a long time then settled in The Hague until he died in 1976.
